Tour Summary

Instead of spending valuable vacation time studying for a written scuba exam or diving in a pool, why not get the preliminaries out of the way at home? With a referral from your local dive instructor, you can hit the open water with one of our PADI certified instructors. Be prepared to go diving at four different local dive spots in order to fulfill the requirements of your PADI Open Water Certification with the diving professionals of Eagle Divers.

The dive sites in the Sea of Cortez are perfect for novice divers. Throughout the year, the waters are warm and crystal-clear. There are ample spots off the Baja Peninsula for new divers to explore. From the amazing sites in the Cabo San Lucas Marine Preserve to the pristine coves along the Golden Corridor, Los Cabos offers a variety of unique diving locales.

You won't find a better destination to initially dive than in the crystalline waters off Los Cabos. With placid waters and a glut of marine species, the Sea of Cortez is the ideal body of water to learn scuba. You will see a spectrum of exotic fish as well as other species, including, Mantas, Eels, Octopi, Crustaceans, Sea Horses, Sponges, Aquatic Turtles, Corals, and perhaps even Dolphins. Once certified, you'll be able to freely explore the amazing undersea environs off Cabo San Lucas and all over the globe.

You'll be partnered with one of our expert PADI-certified teachers. Your mentor will lead you on four fantastic dives to four distinctive locales around the Sea of Cortez. Once you have finished these four preliminary dives with your trainer, you will be certified. This certification qualifies you to dive in open water up to sixty feet anywhere on the globe.

I have been to the Bahamas many times, but Open Water Referral Course is one of my favorite trips! It includes everything that everyone should do here. As a Bahamas veteran, I can say only the best about this experience!

Thanks to the professional guides! I was a bit worried about kayaking because I had never done it before, but the instructions were great and I had such a good time!
